Art parties can be custom-designed based on your interests, or you can click on a project in the rows below to view projects I offer, as well as the COSTS involved. I work closely with you in making sure to meet your budget while finding a project that is suitable and enjoyable for everyone, so please don't hesitate to reach out to me to discuss more. CUSTOM DESIGN your own art party
If you're looking to design your own art project special to your child's (or an adult's) occasion -- perhaps a birthday party, or a celebration to finish memorization of the Quran, getting ready for Ramadan / Eid, Mother's Day, or simply a lovely get together for your friends and family -- describe it as best as you can, and think about what your loved ones love to do (i.e., painting, crafting, drawing, etc.)!
The cost for custom design classes is anywhere from $25 - $45 / participant depending on the complexity and materials involved in the art project. For a party of 10 people, the cost is approximately around $300, with $25 additional cost per person after that. This includes ALL materials, instructions, aprons to wear during class, and boxes to take art work home in. COSTS will be finalized once project is determined.

FLUID ART PAINTING $35-40/participant
Book a Fluid Art Painting class for yourself, your friends, staff, class, or your kids, and experience the joy and release from one of the most delightful ways of making beautiful art! You'll feel freshly inspired and discover the beauty of the creative process in results that are whimsical, colorful and simply addictive -- you'll keep wanting to do more and more pours! Come with an open mind and get ready to be courageous and have fun connecting with others in the process.
I'll lead you step by step through the process of pouring a fluid art work of art in our class, beginning with a brief discussion of how to make pouring paint, which mixing mediums to use, what tools to use, how to choose colors and layer them in your cup, followed by how to pour the paint using a choice of techniques in order to make the paint flow across your canvas in inspiring ways.
All materials will be supplied in class including canvases, pouring paint, cups, gloves, pans, and other tools. Participants should come dressed in comfortable clothes and/or wear an apron. Class content & demonstrations will be modified to make it suitable for the selected age group. PLEASE NOTE that fluid art paintings need 2 days of drying time before being ready to touch, or be hung up.
CLASS OPTIONS:
1) Fluid painting on (1) 11x14 inch canvas: $35/participant; 45 min. - 1 hr. total length of class
2) Fluid painting on (2) 8x10 inch canvases: $40/participant; 1 hr. - 1.5 hrs. total length of class

EBRU MARBLING ART $35-$40/participant
In this class, you will experience a combination of marble painting on a fluid surface, relaxation, and creativity through an introduction to the traditional Islamic art form of "Ebru," most popular in Turkey. "Ebru" means marbling patterns on paper, and it is the art of floating and designing water-based paints on a fluid, and then transferring the design onto paper. In our class, I lead participants through the stone marbling pattern technique, as well as the "Gel-git" pattern technique, and a combination of these techniques can then be further explored by participants on their own, with time permitting.

ABSTRACT ISLAMIC GEOMETRY / CALLIGRAPHY PAINTING PROJECT $25-30/PARTICIPANT
COST: $25-30/participant, depending on complexity and intricacy of Arabic calligraphy names or phrases. For a $25 fee, participants will be provided with stencils in two styles of calligraphy for the names "Allah" and "Muhammad." For a $30 fee, in addition to "Allah" and "Muhammad," participants will be provided with stencils in two styles of calligraphy for the words "SubhanAllah," "Alhamdulillah," and "AllahoAkbar."
Traditional Islamic art is rooted in abstraction, from geometric patterns to beautiful calligraphy, these forms are used in order to create compositions completely detached from realistic, or figural art. In this class, participants will get an introduction to Abstract Islamic art, using Islamic geometry and Arabic calligraphy stencils created by Nadia Janjua. Abstract techniques using tools such as paint rollers, palette knives, scrapers, and paint brushes will be demonstrated and explored. Each participant will make a unique work of Islamic abstract art, using basic elements of composition and color harmonies, also taught in the class.

ART PARTY LOGISTICS
AGE: Individuals of ALL ages can participate in art parties from toddlers, to the elderly! Each project is adjusted to meet the level of skill, and no previous experience is necessary to undertake any creative art project. Children 6 years old and under should be accompanied by a caretaker.
TIME: Art parties can be from 1 hour to 3 hours long, depending on the art project, plus additional time for set up and cleanup.
LOCATION: Art parties can be hosted at any residence, community center or other location, as long as there is enough space and tables to work on, as well as access to water for cleanup. I am based in Laurel, MD and work in the DMV area, but I DO NOT host art parties in my home studio at this time. Please note that for a distance above 45 miles from my location in Laurel, MD, an extra cost of $45 will be charged to the Art Party Fee.
BOOKING: After you've had a chance to review project offerings on this page, the first step to book an art party is to fill out the form below. I will reach out to you within 24 hours, and once the logistics (i.e., date, project type, budget) are confirmed, a downpayment of 50% of total cost is required to complete reservation.
PAYMENT: Payment is to be made via Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp, and is due by the end of business day following the art party event. Payment plans are available upon request, and I will work directly with you to make the project work within your budget, as well as make it comfortable for you to pay at a pace that works for you. I believe everyone should have access to art, and I am grateful to be in the position to offer this service :)
