ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
ART CLASS OVERVIEW
  • Our art class will begin with Bismillah, setting our intentions, with friendly conversation & introductions.
  • Students will come dressed in comfortable clothing and/or wear an apron.
  • Students may choose to sit with their sibling, or with their age group.
  • I will begin to demonstrate the project of the day, leading an inquiry session for the students to share their reflections and thoughts so far.
  • Students will then move around the room to assemble their supplies from various stations. Class will be hosted like an art lab, with minimal "lecturing," and maximum focus on movement, interaction & independence. I will have a teenage art assistant in almost every class, and I will be moving around the room to guide and support each participant, inshaAllah (God willing).
  • We will take a formal break half way through the class, at approximately 11AM for students to have a snack (nut-free & packed from home), stretch, or take a break outside on the playground. My art assistant or I will always be with the students inside and outside.
  • Class will incorporate the outdoors as much as possible (more details will be shared before each class).
  • We will resume our creative process after break, and students will aim to finish one project in each class.
  • Please be prepared to have your child bring home art work that may not be completely dry at the end of class by placing a cardboard sheet or box in your car. They can easily put their art project on top of a sheet, or inside of a box.
PARTICIPANT AGES
While the art camp classes are designed for three main age groups (ages 5-6, 7-9, 10-12), participants of any age may participate. Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult, or a responsible older sibling. Teenagers and young adults are welcome. Each art project will be designed in such a way that it can be simplified for toddler age group, or made more intricate and complex for teenage plus ages.
PHOTO RELEASE POLICY
As part of each class, I will be documenting pictures of each participant while working and creating art to include in parent updates. I will also be documenting to use images in helping to promote Nadia J Art programs and events on my website, and social media pages. While I usually take photographs of participants without sharing their faces, you will can let me know your specific preference on the registration form.
COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS & HEALTH CONCERNS
Masks are optional when attending any of the art classes. Please stay home and keep your child home if he/she is feeling sick, or has been exposed.

Please always have your child bring nut-free snacks or lunch. Thank you kindly!
CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
Class size is limited, and due to the purchasing of materials per participant upon registration, I DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. I do, however, offer art class credit which you may use towards another art camp class, any future Nadia J Art class throughout the entire year, or any art purchase from my shop. Please email or text me as soon as you need to make changes to your registration.
LOCATION
Classes will be held in the Basement level of ICCL Mosque. Please park in the main parking lot, and walk down the concrete stairs to the left of the men's prayer area. You'll see the white door entrance to the basement classroom on the right side.

J has been creating ‘masterpieces’ nonstop since she left your class! You have really inspired her, Alhamdullilah.
R came back from your art class and told me he wants to be a master artist like Ms. Nadia, and also how art calms the heart.
Thank you for being an amazing art teacher! A loves art because you make it so fun!
Hands down, you are M's favorite teacher! You broadened his horizons with art and I can't wait to see what future classes bring!
